Health & Safety Technician

We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Technician


  • Provide clear directions to clients in building Health & Safety system.
  • Performing regular worksite safety inspections on projects on a routine basis and implements corrective actions when necessary.
  • Verifies that work instruction (safe work procedure, job hazard analysis) are current and updated as the scope changes, responsible or “look ahead” mentality to eliminate risks.
  • Assists in the investigation of incidents for cause identification and recommend corrective action.
  • Administers/monitors claim management.
  • Responsible for management of own time and develops plans for work activities over the medium and long term which supports strategic planning activities.


  • Minimum 3+ years related work experience in the Health & Safety profession
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge of common practices, techniques and strong computer background including certified with St. Johns, Red Cross or Heart & Stroke Foundation as a First Aid Instructor.
  • Ability to identify problems/issues, looks beyond the immediate problem to the wider implications and generates new solutions to complex problems.
  • Professional attitude.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Reliable.
  • Must have a clean class 5 driver’s license.


  • NCSO or other entry level courses are a benefit (Related post secondary HSE degrees, diplomas and certification will be considered an asset)
